Mr WATT (BALACLAVA, VICTORIA) - I would like to ask the Acting Minister of Defence if, before shifting the camp to Seymour, he will have an inspection made of what is known as the Police Paddock, at Dandenong, which, to my knowledge, is a very suitable place for that purpose. It is under the control of the State Government. Will the Minister make the inquiry, and see whether the camp should not be shifted to that locality in preference to Seymour, or whether an auxiliary camp could be established there ?

Mr JENSEN - The Department issued instructions to officers to go into the matter, and submit a report, and we are acting on that report. I dare say that while I am speaking preparations are being made to shift the camp to Seymour. It is not desirable, therefore, to have any reconsideration of the decision arrived at.
