Mr HUGHES - During the honorable member's temporary absence from the chamber last week the honorable member for Calare referred me to a statement I had made during the Committee stage of the Land Tax Assessment Bill with regard to providing greater facilities for appeal, and I informed the honorable member that I would communicate with the Land Tax Commissioner, and that if he replied that the case set forth by my friends was in accordance with the facts, the Government, when bringing down the Land Tax Assessment Bill, would make provision for greater facilities for appeals.
