Mr JOHN THOMSON (COWPER, NEW SOUTH WALES) - Will the Postmaster-General confer with the Ministers of Defence and Home Affairs as to the advisability of consolidating the stores branch of the different Departments, with a view to creating one general stores branch for the whole of the Public Service, so that economy and greater efficiency may be attained ?

Mr SPENCE - I have no objection to consulting with the Minister of Defence or the Minister of Home Affairs, but I do not think there would be any advantage gained. Almost all the departmental stores differ.
