Mr PAGE asked the PostmasterGeneral, upon notice -

1.   Whether he is aware that officers in most of the country stations in Queensland go on their annual recreation leave without being relieved, the remainder of the staff having to perform the said officers' duties while on leave, thus necessitating in most cases the remainder of the staff working overtime in order to cope with the work?

2.   Where officers work overtime while one of the staff is on recreation leave, what remuneration does he recommend for such overtime?

3.   Is he in favour of the said overtime being added on to officers' annual leave?
