Mr SPEAKER - I would point out that the honorable member for Macquarie, with every other honorable member, has a right to ask any ordinary question, and the Government have an equal right to answer it or to ask for notice.


Mr SYDNEY SMITH (MACQUARIE, NEW SOUTH WALES) - I desire to ask whether the Minister will arrange with the New South Wales Premier to obtain from the Statistical Department information as to the number of adult males and females in the various State and Federal electorates, and the number of males and females whose names appear upon the State rolls 1


Sir WILLIAM LYNE - I have all that information.


Mr SYDNEY SMITH (MACQUARIE, NEW SOUTH WALES) - Will the Minister lay it before Parliament ?


Sir WILLIAM LYNE - I have all the information to which the honorable member for Macquarie has refer-red, and if lie wishes me to obtain more, I must ask him to give notice of his questions.
