Mr CROUCH asked the Minister for Trade and Customs, upon notice -

1.   Whether any, and what, charge was made for the attendance ofa Customs official at the wreck of the Inverlochy to the syndicate which purchased that vessel ?

2.   Whether any, and what, charge was made for similar attendance to the underwriters?

3.   Is any difference made between the two cases ; and, if so, what is the reason ?

4.   If the syndicate pays import duties and all living expenses of the official, why should his attendance be charged for at the wreck, and not at an ordinary port, seeing that he is there to collect revenue ?
