Mr BROWN (CANOBOLAS, NEW SOUTH WALES) - I desire to ask the Minister for Home Affairs whether the experts who are to report upon the proposed sites for the federal capital have yet been appointed, and whether honorable members will be informed as to the personnel of the committee before the close of the session?

Sir WILLIAM LYNE - I hope that the honorable member will be reasonable. The appointments have not been considered hy myself or by the Government, and it will be quite impossible to submit the names of the experts before the prorogation takes place. I. do not think- the appointments will be made for at least a week. I think I have plenty of work to do without being rushed into dealing with matters which will require some little consideration, especially in view of the amendment made by the Senate in the motion for the appointment of the committee.
