Mr WINTER COOKE (Wannon) - The total expenditure in connexion with the division which is now under consideration amounts to £29,221. That sum is in addition to the £762,000 which is set down as the total cost of the Defence department. But I would point out that upon page 39, there is an item of £25,805 for "Works and Buildings." Are the committee to understand that in addition to the £762,000, which is set down as the total cost of the department we are to spend £29,221 for "Additions, New Works and Buildings," and a further sum of £25,805 for " Works and Buildings."
