Mr WATSON (Bland) - We have provided in the Bill that lists shall be prepared triennially, independently of any claims that may be made for additions to the rolls - that the rolls shall be purged every three years.

Mr Glynn - We have abolished the provision that was originally made for the preparation of lists triennially.

Mr WATSON - I was not aware of that. I do not see why a preference should be given to the returning officer.

Sir William Lyne - I do not think the amendment is very important.
