 9 PROPOSED DISCUSSION OF MATTER OF PUBLIC IMPORTANCE—ADEQUATE SERVICES FOR AUSTRALIAN CHILDREN

The House was informed that both Ms Roxon and Mr Windsor had proposed that definite matters of public importance be submitted to the House for discussion today. In accordance with the provisions of standing order 107, the Speaker had given priority to the matter proposed by Ms Roxon, namely, "The Government's lack of leadership and failure to provide adequate services for Australian children".

Mr Abbott (Leader of the House) moved—That the business of the day be called on.
