DISCUSSION OF MATTER OF PUBLIC IMPORTANCE—COST OF ESSENTIAL MEDICINES

The House was informed that Mr S. F. Smith had proposed that a definite matter of public importance be submitted to the House for discussion, namely, "The adverse consequences of the Government's unfair proposal to increase the cost of essential medicines by almost 30% for the sickest and the poorest in the Australian community".
