DISCUSSION OF MATTER OF PUBLIC IMPORTANCE—COMMUNICATIONS SERVICES TO RURAL AND REGIONAL AUSTRALIA

The House was informed that Mr Smith had proposed that a definite matter of public importance be submitted to the House for discussion, namely, "The threat to communications services to rural and regional Australia arising from the Government's pursuit of the full privatisation of Telstra".
