Absence of quorum

Mr McLeay called the attention of the Deputy Speaker to the fact that a quorum of Members was not present.

The bells having been rung, and a quorum not having been obtained within the prescribed time, the Deputy Speaker at 5.25 p.m., in accordance with standing order 45, announced that the Chair would be resumed at 5.31 p.m.

At 5.31 p.m., the Speaker resumed the Chair, and a quorum of Members was present.
