767  MR SCOTT: To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry—Is the Government intending to implement a damage mitigation program to control the population of flying foxes, which are having a significant environmental and economic impact on growers of orchards and crops across Queensland (QLD); if so, when will this program begin; and if not, will he consider implementing such a program to assist QLD food producers given the QLD Government has ceased providing Damage Mitigation Permits to control the flying fox population.

768  MR TUCKEY: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and the Arts—In respect of the Biodiversity Adjustment Scheme—

(1)  What sum of funding under this scheme has been made available to Western Australia, and for what purpose was it expended.

(2) Does or did Western Australia retain any surplus from this funding; if so, what was the sum of the surplus.

(3) Does any agreement exist between the Commonwealth and the States for surplus funds to be transferred within a State to be used for other purposes; if so, did the Western Australian Government use any surplus funding under the scheme on other projects; if so, what are the details.
