25       Treasury Laws Amendment (Cost of Living Support and Other Measures) Bill 2022

A message from the House of Representatives was reported transmitting for the concurrence of the Senate the following bill:

Message no. 559, dated 30 March 2022—A Bill for an Act to amend the law relating to taxation, employee share schemes and product stewardship, to amend the National Health Act 1953 , to provide for a one-off cost of living payment, and for related purposes.

The Minister for Superannuation, Financial Services and the Digital Economy (Senator Hume) moved—That this bill may proceed without formalities and be now read a first time.

Question put and passed.

Bill read a first time.

On the motion of Senator Hume the bill was debated and read a second time.

The Senate resolved itself into committee for the consideration of the bill.
