ADDITIONAL ESTIMATES--DOCUMENTS--REFERENCE TO LEGISLATION COMMITTEES

The Minister for Trade (Senator McMullan) tabled the following

documents:

Particulars of proposed additional expenditure in relation to the

Parliamentary Departments in respect of the year ending on 30 June

1996

Particulars of proposed additional expenditure for the service of the

year ending on 30 June 1996

Particulars of certain proposed additional expenditure in respect of

the year ending on 30 June 1996

Statement of savings expected in annual appropriations made by the

Appropriation (Parliamentary Departments) Act 1995-96, the

Appropriation Act (No. 1) 1995-96 and the Appropriation Act (No. 2)

1995-96.

Senator McMullan, by leave, moved--

(1) That the following documents be referred to legislation

committees for examination and report:

Particulars of proposed additional expenditure in relation to

the Parliamentary Departments in respect of the year ending on

30 June 1996

Particulars of proposed additional expenditure for the service

of the year ending on 30 June 1996

Particulars of certain proposed additional expenditure in

respect of the year ending on 30 June 1996

Final Budget Outcome 1994-95

Provision for running cost borrowings--March, April and June

1995.

(2) That the committees consider proposed expenditure in the

legislation committee groupings agreed to on 24 August 1994.

(3) That the committees report to the Senate on or before 28

November 1995.

(4) That, subject to the sittings of the Senate, the committees meet

to hear evidence in accordance with the following schedule:

(a) Monday, 6 November and Monday, 13 November 1995:

Environment, Recreation, Communications and the Arts

Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade

Legal and Constitutional

Rural and Regional Affairs and Transport;

(b) Thursday, 23 November and Friday, 24 November 1995:

Community Affairs

Economics

Employment, Education and Training

Finance and Public Administration; and

(c) if required, on such other days as are determined by the

committees.
