A message from the House of Representatives was reported transmitting

for the concurrence of the Senate the following bill:

Message no. 645, dated 24 October 1995--A Bill for an Act to amend the

Employment Services Act 1994 and the Social Security Act 1991, and for

related purposes.

The Minister for Trade (Senator McMullan) moved--That this bill may

proceed without formalities and be now read a first time.

Question put and passed.

Bill read a first time.

Senator McMullan moved--That this bill be now read a second time.

Pursuant to the order of the Senate of 29 November 1994, the debate was

adjourned and the resumption of the debate made an order of the day for

the first sitting day in 1996.
