PRIMARY INDUSTRIES LEVIES AND CHARGES (CONSEQUENTIAL AMENDMENTS) BILL
1995

Messages from the House of Representatives were reported transmitting

for the concurrence of the Senate the following bills:

Message no. 637, dated 19 October 1995--A Bill for an Act relating to

the imposition of primary industries levies.

Message no. 638, dated 19 October 1995--A Bill for an Act relating to

the imposition of primary industries charges.

Message no. 648, dated 25 October 1995--A Bill for an Act to make

consequential amendments relating to the Primary Industries Levies Act

1995 and the Primary Industries Charges Act 1995, and for other

purposes.

The Minister for Trade (Senator McMullan) moved--That these bills may

proceed without formalities, may be taken together and be now read a

first time.

Question put and passed.

Bills read a first time.

Senator McMullan moved--That these bills be now read a second time.

Explanatory memorandum: Senator McMullan tabled a revised explanatory

memorandum relating to the Primary Industries Levies and Charges

(Consequential Amendments) Bill 1995.

On the motion of Senator Panizza the debate was adjourned till the next

day of sitting.
