CUSTOMS AND EXCISE LEGISLATION AMENDMENT BILL (NO. 2) 1995

Consideration of legislation: The Minister for Defence (Senator Ray), at

the request of the Minister for Foreign Affairs (Senator Gareth Evans)

and pursuant to notice of motion not objected to as a formal motion,

moved--That the order of the Senate of 29 November 1994, relating to the

consideration of legislation, not apply to the Customs and Excise

Legislation Amendment Bill (No. 2) 1995.

Statement by leave: Senator Ray, by leave, made a statement relating to

the motion.

Senator Ray, at the request of Senator Gareth Evans and pursuant to

notice of motion not objected to as a formal motion, moved--That the

following bill be introduced:

A Bill for an Act to amend the Customs and Excise Legislation

Amendment Act 1995.
