Order read for the adjourned debate on the motion of Senator

Vanstone--That the Senate take note of the statement (see entry no. 12).

Debate resumed.

Senator Chamarette moved the following amendment:

At end of motion, add "but the Senate is of the opinion that the

Minister representing the Attorney-General is in contempt of the Senate

for failing to comply with all the terms of the order for production of

documents agreed to by the Senate on 28 June 1995 and orders that he

purge his contempt by tabling all remaining documents by 6 p.m. this

evening.".
