PETITIONS

The following 4 petitions, lodged with the Clerk by the Senators

indicated, were received:

Senator Kernot, 2 petitions similar in wording from 1 400 and 531

petitioners, requesting that the Senate reject the proposed extension

of wholesale sales tax to building products.

Senator Bell, from 66 petitioners requesting that the Senate take

action to phase out aerial spraying in accordance with the

recommendations of the Senate Select Committee on Agricultural and

Veterinary Chemicals.

Senator Herron, from 113 petitioners requesting that the Senate call

on the Minister for Human Services and Health to withdraw her

endorsement of the sex guide published in the December 1994 issue of

Cleo magazine.

The following petition not in conformity with the standing orders, was

presented by Senator Calvert, by leave and at the request of Senator

Woods, and received:

From 2 021 petitioners requesting that the Senate conduct an inquiry

into the kidnapping and murder of David Wilson.
