The Acting Deputy President (Senator McGauran) informed the Senate that

the President had received a letter from Senator Coulter advising that

this day he intended to move--That, in the opinion of the Senate, the

following is a matter of urgency:

The weak and inadequate response of the Government to the resumption

of French nuclear weapons testing.

The proposal was supported by 4 Senators.

Senator Coulter moved the motion.

Debate ensued.

Question put and passed.
