PETITIONS

The following 8 petitions, lodged with the Clerk by the Senators

indicated, were received:

Senator Bourne, from 497 petitioners requesting that the Senate take

action to support a proposal to retain census forms for release for

specific research purposes in 70 or 100 years' time.

Senator Herron, from 810 petitioners requesting that the Senate call

on the Minister for Human Services and Health to withdraw her

endorsement of the sex guide published in the December 1994 issue of

Cleo magazine.

Senator Jones, from 10 petitioners requesting that the Senate take

action to protect old-growth and wilderness forests by implementing a

comprehensive plantation strategy.

Senator Jones, from 60 petitioners requesting that the Senate take

action to ban military aid to Indonesia, not pursue foreign policy

with Indonesia at the expense of human rights and reverse the decision

which recognises Indonesian rule over East Timor.

Senator Jones, from 17 petitioners requesting that the Senate take

action to protect high conservation value and old-growth forests in

the south west of Western Australia.

Senator McGauran, from 416 petitioners requesting that the Senate take

action to reform the Family Law Act and the Child Support Scheme.

Senator Woodley, from 78 petitioners requesting that the Senate

establish an inquiry into Eastlink, the proposed connection to the

national electricity grid.

Senator Jones, from 16 petitioners requesting that the Senate pass the

proposed Land Fund Bill unamended.
