PETITIONS

The following 3 petitions, lodged with the Clerk by the Senators

indicated, were received:

Senator Bell, from 79 petitioners requesting that the Senate call on

the Government to accept responsibility for control of the use of

agricultural and veterinary chemicals and review the use of simazine.

Senator Kemp, from 400 petitioners requesting that the Senate take

action to reform the Family Law Act and the Child Support Scheme.

Senator Herron, from 16 petitioners requesting that the Senate call on

the Minister for Human Services and Health to withdraw her endorsement

of the sex guide published in the December 1994 issue of Cleo

magazine.

The following petitions, not in conformity with the standing orders,

were presented by the Senators indicated, by leave, and received:

Senator Chapman, from 475 petitioners requesting that the immigration

application of Dana Nance be approved.

Senator Burns, at the request of Senator Jones, from 386

petitionersrequesting that the public and State and Federal

Governments are made aware of the lack of social structures which

exist for Italian and Italo-Australian residents in the Wide Bay area.
