COMMITTEES--CHANGES IN MEMBERSHIP

The Acting Deputy President (Senator McKiernan) informed the Senate that

the President had received letters requesting changes in the membership

of various committees.

The Minister for Trade (Senator McMullan), by leave, moved--That

Senators be appointed to committees as follows:

Community Affairs Legislation Committee--

Substitute member: Senator Christopher Evans to replace Senator

Denman for 16 February from 9 a.m. till 5 p.m.

Economics Legislation Committee--

Substitute member: Senator West to replace Senator Christopher Evans

for 15 February from 9 a.m. till 3.30 p.m.

Environment, Recreation, Communications and the Arts Legislation

Committee--

Participating member: Senator Crane.

Substitute member: Senator Bourne to replace Senator Coulter for the

committee's consideration of the Broadcasting Services Amendment

Bill 1994.

Environment, Recreation, Communications and the Arts References

Committee--

Participating members:

Senator Crane.

Senator McGauran for the duration of the committee's inquiry into

the role of national sporting coaches in the international

transfer of Australian players.

Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade Legislation Committee--

Substitute members:

Senator Forshaw to replace Senator Carr for 15 February from 1

p.m. till 6 p.m.

Senator Murphy to replace Senator Carr on 15 February from 6 p.m.
