Messages from the House of Representatives were reported transmitting

for the concurrence of the Senate the following bills:

Message no. 427, dated 7 December 1994--A Bill for an Act to

appropriate money out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund, additional to

the money appropriated by the Appropriation (Parliamentary

Departments) Act 1994-95, for certain expenditure in relation to the

Parliamentary Departments in respect of the year ending on 30 June

1995, and for related purposes.

Message no. 425, dated 7 December 1994--A Bill for an Act to

appropriate money out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund, additional to

the money appropriated by the Appropriation Act (No. 1) 1994-95, for

the service of the year ending on 30 June 1995, and for related

purposes.

Message no. 426, dated 7 December 1994--A Bill for an Act to

appropriate money out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund, additional to

the money appropriated by the Appropriation Act (No. 2) 1994-95, for

certain expenditure in respect of the year ending on 30 June 1995, and

for related purposes.

The Minister for Family Services (Senator Crowley) moved--That these

bills may proceed without formalities, may be taken together and be now

read a first time.

Question put and passed.

Bills read a first time.

Senator Crowley moved--That these bills be now read a second time.

Pursuant to the order of the Senate of 29 November 1994, the debate was

adjourned and the resumption of the debate made an order of the day for

the first sitting day in 1995.
