form the opinion that, for the purposes of paragraph (2A)(g),

commuting is not unreasonably difficult.".

" "(2A) The payment of money or other valuable consideration by an

employer directly or indirectly to an employee of the Defence Force to

meet costs associated with a loan to which subsection (3) applies does

not constitute a housing benefit provided by the employer to the

employee.".

be reported with amendments and requests for amendments and the Social

Security (New Zealand Agreement) Amendment Bill 1994 to be reported

without amendments.

The Deputy President (Senator Crichton-Browne) resumed the Chair and the

Temporary Chairman of Committees (Senator Colston) reported accordingly.

On the motion of Senator Crowley the report from the committee was

adopted and the Social Security (New Zealand Agreement) Amendment Bill

1994 read a third time.
