World Trade Organization bills--Copy of organisation chart of the

World Trade Organization.

Senator Watson moved the following amendment in respect of the Customs

Tariff (Anti-Dumping) (World Trade Organization Amendments) Bill 1994

and the Customs Legislation (World Trade Organization Amendments) Bill

1994:

At end of motion, add "but the Senate urges the Government to:

(a) significantly reduce the inquiry period for anti-dumping and

countervailing cases; and

(b) ensure that the administration of the anti-dumping system, and

particularly the material injury provisions in the legislation,

is no more stringent than the comparable policies adopted by the

other members of the World Trade Organization".
