Senator Ian Macdonald, pursuant to notice of motion not objected to as a

formal motion, moved--That there be laid on the table, by the Minister

for the Environment, Sport and Territories (Senator Faulkner), on or

before 29 November 1994, the following:

(a) all documents and scientific assessments received by the

Minister after 12 August 1994 regarding the Port Hinchinbrook

project, including the report from the Queensland Department of

Primary Industries and advice from Dr Preen relied on by the

Minister to invoke provisions of the World Heritage Conservation

Act on 15 November 1994; and

(b) all correspondence from the Minister to the Queensland Premier

and to the Queensland Minister for Environment and Heritage,

regarding the tripartite deed between the Queensland Government,

Cardwell Shire Council and the development company, including

the letter from the Minister to the Queensland Government which

approved the Queensland Government signing the tripartite deed.
