DISCUSSION OF MATTER OF PUBLIC IMPORTANCE

The Deputy President (Senator Crichton-Browne) informed the Senate that

Senator Woods had proposed that the following matter of public

importance be submitted to the Senate for discussion:

The Government's continued failure to understand the extent of the

crisis in health funding in Australia and to devise the correct policy

response.

The proposal was supported by 4 Senators and the matter was discussed.
