Senator Campbell, pursuant to notice of motion not objected to as a

formal motion, moved--That the following matter be referred to the

Standing Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs for inquiry and

report by 25 August 1994:

The protection afforded to the various words and symbols associated

with the Olympics in Australia in the lead-up to, and during, the

Games of the 27th Olympiad in Sydney in the year 2000 and whether

legislative protection should be extended beyond that enacted by the

Federal Parliament.
