DISCUSSION OF MATTER OF PUBLIC IMPORTANCE

The Acting Deputy President (Senator Colston) informed the Senate that

Senator Kemp had proposed that the following matter of public importance

be submitted to the Senate for discussion:

The Prime Minister's failure to acknowledge that the Australian

Constitution was written in Australia by Australians and for

Australians and his continuing distortion of Australian history in an

attempt to advance his radical plans to tear up our national symbols

and to overturn our constitution.

The proposal was supported by 4 Senators and the matter was discussed.
