TOBACCO ADVERTISING PROHIBITION (BROADCASTING AND TOBACCO ADVERTISING
LEGISLATION) AMENDMENT BILL 1994

Senator Lees, pursuant to notice of motion not objected to as a formal

motion, moved--That the following bill be introduced:

A Bill for an Act to amend the Broadcasting Act 1942 to prohibit the

incidental broadcasting of tobacco advertising, and the Tobacco

Advertising Prohibition Act 1992 to repeal provisions enabling the

advertising of tobacco at certain Australian sporting and cultural

events, and for related purposes.

without formalities and be now read a first time.
