PETITIONS

The following 6 petitions, lodged with the Clerk by the Senators

indicated, were received:

Senator Bell, from 118 petitioners requesting that the Senate

introduce legislation requiring the National Registration Authority to

provide all available information on registered chemicals.

Senator Kemp, from 32 petitioners requesting that the Senate take

action to ensure that Victoria receives its fair share of funding for

existing and proposed national highways.

Senator Kemp, from 20 petitioners requesting that the Senate ensure

that the Australian national flag is not changed or replaced without

first being voted upon and approved by the people of Australia in a

national poll.

Senator Kemp, from 21 petitioners requesting that Australia remain a

constitutional monarchy with Her Majesty the Queen of Australia as

Head of State.

Senator Kernot, from 469 petitioners requesting that the Senate oppose

attempts by the Government to raise the pension age for women from 60

to 65 years.

Senator Kernot, from 674 petitioners requesting that the Senate take

action to apply conditions retrospectively to woodchip licences to

meet Commonwealth obligations and exclude old-growth forests and

wilderness areas.
