COMMITTEES--CHANGES IN MEMBERSHIP

The Acting Deputy President (Senator McKiernan) informed the Senate that

he had received letters requesting changes in the membership of certain

committees.

The Minister for the Environment, Sport and Territories (Senator

Faulkner), by leave, moved--

(1) That Senator Gibson be discharged from further attendance on the

Committee of Privileges and that Senator Woods, having been duly

nominated in accordance with the provisions of standing order

18, be appointed a member of the committee.

(2) Standing Committee on Community Affairs (standing order 25)--

(a) That Senator Woods replace Senator Herron for the period 4

May to 6 May 1994.

(b) That Senator Woods replace Senator Sandy Macdonald for the

committee's inquiry into validation of CAM and SAM funding

of nursing homes.

(3) That Senator Campbell be discharged from further attendance on

the Joint Committee on Corporations and Securities and that

Senator Gibson, having been duly nominated in accordance with

the provisions of the Australian Securities Commission Act 1989,

be appointed a member of the committee.
