The Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Primary Industries and

Energy (Senator Sherry), pursuant to notice, moved--That the following

bills be introduced:

A Bill for an Act to provide for the payment of bounty on the

production of certain fuel ethanol.

A Bill for an Act to amend certain Acts relating to superannuation for

people employed by the Commonwealth, and for certain other people, and

for related purposes.

A Bill for an Act to establish a program to give protection and

assistance to certain witnesses and other persons.

A Bill for an Act to amend the Customs Tariff Act 1987, and for

related purposes.

Question put and passed.

Senator Sherry presented the bills and moved--That these bills may

proceed without formalities, may be taken together and be now read a

first time.

Senator Sherry moved--That these bills be now read a second time.

relating to the bills.

On the motion of Senator Panizza the debate was adjourned till the next

day of sitting.
