The Chairman of the Standing Committee on Regulations and Ordinances

(Senator Colston): To move 15 sitting days after today--That the Civil

Aviation Regulations (Amendment), as contained in Statutory Rules 1993

No. 319 and made under the Civil Aviation Act 1988, be disallowed.

Senator Colston, by leave, made a statement relating to the notice of

motion.

The Minister for Veterans' Affairs (Senator Faulkner): To move on the

next day of sitting--That the following bill be introduced: A Bill for

an Act to provide for the Commonwealth to help the International War

Crimes Tribunal perform its functions, and for related purposes.

International War Crimes Tribunal Bill 1994.

The Minister for Veterans' Affairs (Senator Faulkner): To move on the

next day of sitting--That the following bill be introduced: A Bill for

an Act to make certain amendments relating to the International War

Crimes Tribunal Act 1994. International War Crimes Tribunal

(Consequential Amendments) Bill 1994.

Senator Woodley: To move on the next day of sitting--That the Senate--

(a) notes that the Member for Kennedy (Mr Katter) has called for the

National Party to split from the Coalition, as reported on the

front page of the Australian of 8 February 1994;

(b) affirms that rural Australia would be better served by a more

independent National Party; and

(c) calls on the National Party to abandon the economic policies of

the Liberal Party, in particular, its support for an unfettered,

deregulated financial system and any further reductions in

tariff protection for rural industries.
