Senator McGauran, at the request of Senator Reid and pursuant to notice

of motion not objected to as a formal motion, moved--That,

notwithstanding anything contained in standing or sessional orders, the

sitting of the Senate be suspended from 12 noon until 2 p.m. on

Wednesday, 9 February 1994, to enable the proper courtesies to be

extended by Senators on the occasion of the visit to Parliament House of

the Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea, the Right Honourable Paias
