The Minister for Social Security (Senator Chaney), by leave, made a statement relating to measures undertaken by the Government following the discovery of horsemeat and kangaroo meat in a shipment of boneless beef to the United States of America and moved--That the Senate take note of the Statement.

Debate ensued.

Ordered--That the debate be adjourned till the next day of sitting, and that Senator Macklin have leave to continue his speech on the resumption of the debate.
