SCIENCE AND THE ENVIRONMENT--STANDING COMMITTEE--REPORT ON INDUSTRIAL RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT IN AUSTRALIA--GOVERNMENT RESPONSE--PAPER--
MINISTERIAL STATEMENT

The Attorney-General (Senator Durack), by Command of His Excellency the Governor-General, laid upon the Table the following Paper:

Science and the Environment--Standing Committee--Report on Industrial Research and Development in Australia--Government Response.

Senator Durack, by leave, made a statement relating to the Government response.

The Leader of the Opposition in the Senate (Senator Button), by leave, moved--That the Senate take note of the Paper.

Debate ensued.

On the motion of the Minister for Aboriginal Affairs (Senator Baume) the debate was adjourned.

Ordered--That the resumption of the debate be an Order of the Day for the next day of sitting.
