Senator FIFIELD (VictoriaManager of Government Business in the Senate, Minister for Communications, Minister for the Arts and Minister Assisting the Prime Minister for Digital Government) (11:07): The introduction of this card has not initiated and created the concept of someone losing their wallet. People have always lost their wallets, lost their purses, lost those things that are within them. It is always inconvenient when you lose your wallet or your purse and the things that are within it. There is always a period of time that it takes to replace that which is lost which was within your wallet or your purse. This is not a concept which has been created by the introduction of the concept of this card. Yes, I recognise that when people lose things it is inconvenient. What we will do is make sure that people can get a replacement card in the quickest possible period of time.
