Senator HOGG(12.01 p.m.) —In response to Senator Campbell's response to my question yesterday, it is very important that the government outline their intention for the term `high employment'. As I said yesterday, there is a real need for the courts, the law-makers and the public at large to understand what is meant by `high employment'. Does it mean more people actually being employed but in part-time or casual employment? Does it mean that the government is heading down the path of trying to create more full-time employment? I ask this given that there is a growing trend for part-time and casual employment which does not satisfy the need of people to be able to sustain themselves. So the definition that the government gives to `high employment' is very important in assessing the rest of the context of the bill.
