Senator HILL (Minister for the Environment) —I have had a reply from the Prime Minister in response to part of a question asked by Senator Bourne. Senator Bourne asked:

If the Indonesian President were to visit Australia, would it be the government's intention to maintain consistency by inviting the head of state of our largest and closest neighbour to address a joint meeting of both houses of the federal parliament in the House of Representatives?

The response I have received is that the question of President Suharto's program will be looked at when we know that President Suharto will visit.
