Senator BROWN(10.09 a.m.) —I also support this disallowance motion. I do not believe the minister ought to be able to have unfettered rights as far as these regulations are concerned. The parliament has been able to vet such regulations in the past. I am sure that many people in the ethnic community will be hoping that the move by the government to be able to change the rules to make things harder does not succeed. So I agree with the earlier speakers on this side of the chamber and will be supporting Senator Bolkus's motion.
