Senator COOK(1.50 p.m.) —I have one very quick question. Senator Short has been unable to supply detailed information he has been asked for, but has taken it on notice and will get back to the Senate. But there must be a basic principle here: we are asking people to pay money and we do need to see some sort of a broad working out. Will the government supply the opposition with the basis upon which the broad calculations have been made—that is, the `back of the envelope' calculations, rather than the `to the last cent' type of calculations—as soon as it possibly can?
