Senator COOK(4.34 p.m.) —In view of the answer that Senator Brownhill has given to Senator Spindler on when the disallowable instrument will be tabled in the Senate, I understand that Austrade consulted on the draft—which is the document I have referred to—with industry. I think all of the organisations that made submissions to the Senate committee of inquiry into this bill raised concerns about its administrative complexity. Will the consultations that Austrade is undertaking be with those companies as well as more broadly with industry associations, or will they be confined to a consultative process that is already in place? My question really is: given that these people have raised the issue, will they be talked to about how it will be dealt with? I ask that question because some of them have said they do not believe that Austrade has consulted them, although they do have some views about it.
