Senator CRANE (12.38 p.m.) —Thank you, Mr Temporary Chairman.

Senator Woodley —We are glad to see you smiling.

Senator CRANE —I always smile; it is just the degree of the smile. I support what my colleague Senator Parer said about this amendment. I am not going to revisit this during the whole debate, but it is important that, if we are going to have a running sheet, we do work off the running sheet. Although I do not want to get into a tit for tat debate, our amendments were circulated at least 24 hours before the Democrats' amendments were circulated. I believe the running sheet reflects the precedence as to how these things are done—it is in the order in which the amendments are put forward. I would hope that for the rest of this debate we can operate off the running sheet. This amendment will speed up the process of enterprise flexibility agreements. I do not have to go over what Senator Parer said. I endorse his comments.
