Senator COLLINS (Minister for Transport and Communications) (9.41 p.m.) —In concluding this debate, I must say that originally I was going to reply at some length to some of the nonsense that I heard Senator Alston delivering this afternoon. I do appreciate that Senator Alston was simply desperately trying to recover some ground because of a particularly silly press statement that he issued this afternoon—particularly silly when it is set alongside the stock exchange announcement—referring to political powers which ministers do not possess and proposed legal solutions which do not exist. But I will not do that, and I will conclude this debate by simply thanking all senators, except for Senator Alston, for their contributions to the debate.
