Senator FOREMAN —by leave—On behalf of Senator Crowley, I present to the Senate the following petitioning letter which is not in conformity with the standing orders from six citizens requesting that the government disallow the instrument adopting the UN Declaration on the Elimination of all Forms of Intolerance and of Discrimination Based on Religion or Belief:

Box 254

Coonalpyn 5265

Dear Senator Rosemary Crowley

We the undersigned ask and appeal to you as our elected watchman of our Government to disallow the passing of the new law namely, THE DECLARATION ON THE ELIMINATION OF ALL FORMS OF INTOLERANCE AND OF DISCRIMINATION BASED ON RELIGION AND BELIEFS—with no exceptions allowed, to be included in the HREOC. By voting against this legislation.

This is a serious threat to our freedom and could ultimately affect every Australian citizen, and this will include you.

We remain your

faithful citizens.
