Senator Calvert asked the Minister representing the Minister for Finance, upon notice, on 19 May 1993:

  (1) For each department or agency, what was the name and total cost, including staff time, printing, distribution, etcetera, of annual reports produced for the financial years: (a) 1990-91; (b) 1991-92; and (c) 1992-93.

  (2) When were the annual reports listed in (1) tabled in Parliament.

  The 1992-93 annual reports are not completed and costings, therefore, are not yet available.

  The information sought on the cost of staff time spent in producing annual reports within my portfolio cannot be separately identified as this work forms only part of officers' overall duties and separate costings are not kept for annual report preparation. Similarly, annual report distribution costs are not separately identified.

  (2)(a) Department of Finance Annual Report 1990-91 was tabled in Parliament on 6 November 1991.

  Australian National Audit Office Annual Report 1990-91 was tabled in Parliament on 9 October 1991.

  Commissioner for Superannuation Annual Report 1990-91 was tabled in the Senate on 11 December 1991.

  Commonwealth Superannuation Board of Trustees No.1 Annual Report 1990-91 was tabled in the Senate on 11 December 1991.

  Commonwealth Superannuation Board of Trustees No.2 Annual Report 1990-91 was tabled in the Senate on 11 December 1991.

  Papua New Guinea Superannuation Scheme Annual Report 1990-91 was tabled in the Senate on 11 December 1991.

  (b) Department of Finance Annual Report 1991-92 was tabled in Parliament on 3 November 1992.

  Australian National Audit Office Annual Report 1991-92 was tabled in Parliament on 14 September 1992.

  Commissioner for Superannuation Annual Report 1991-92 was tabled in the Senate on 16 December 1992.

  Commonwealth Superannuation Board of Trustees No.1 Annual Report 1991-92 was tabled in the Senate on 16 December 1992.

  Commonwealth Superannuation Board of Trustees No.2 Annual Report 1991-92 was tabled in the Senate on 16 December 1992.
